If you’ve never driven a jet ski before, not to worry. You get a mini lesson before the tour heads out. It’s so easy to drive them! You will wear a personal flotation device, and your guide will keep an eye on you and the rest of the group. Key West jet ski tours come with the option to drive a two-seater, so you can have a passenger.
The tours meet at one of two areas. One is on the south side of Key West, from the Casa Marina area. The other is from Old Town, near Mallory Square. Your Key West jet ski tour guide will lead you and the rest of the group out of Key West harbor or if you leave from the south side, across the south side of the island, going west. You will proceed into the backcountry, going north, then east along the north side of Key West. The back country is where it’s at, because there are lots of places to explore back here, including some old submarine pits that were never actually used. Most Key West jet ski tours take their group to see the sub pits, as they’re called.
Then it’s back around the east side of the island and across the south. This is where waves might get bigger, on the ocean side. But sometimes that’s what makes an Key West jet ski tour exciting: jumping the waves! In fact, you’ll see lots of jet ski riders waiting for boats passing through the harbor, so they can drive across their wakes and jump up. We told you, this is not your average Key West Tour!

Now, imagine there’s a set of straps forming a seat on that kite, and you’re sitting in it! That’s basically what parasailing is all about. Let the wind hold you up as your Key West parasailing captiain drives the boat to keep the line tight. He has precise control over how fast, how high, and which direction you fly at all times.
Your Key West parasailing captain also has a mate, who is responsible for getting every flyer ready to lift off. He makes sure you’re strapped in correctly to the seat harness, that you have your personal flotation device on, and that you know what is going to happen. He’ll also take pictures of you as you fly, if you want. Then you can buy the pictures from him (or her!) after the trip, for a very special souvenir. Some mates also take DVD movies of your Key West parasailing excursion. It certainly makes a much more exciting memento than a t-shirt!

The hull of a glass bottom boat is partially make of thick glass, so when the Key West glass bottom boat drives in 20 foot water, it looks as if the coral reef is right at your feet! In any weather you can always see coral, fish, and anything else in the neighborhood that day. Passengers on the Key West glass bottom boat have reported seeing purple sea fans, brain coral, barracudas, snapper, sea turtles, and the favorite of many, the parrot fish. Parrot fish are very colorful and large, and make up an important part of the living coral reef ecological system.
The cabin of a Key West glass bottom boat is comfortable, with AC and places to sit. Everyone from vacationers with infants to even the most senior passenger, will ride the short distance to the coral reef near Key West. It’s about five miles to the first patches of reef, where passengers can see dozens of different types of coral heads, species of fish, and even a wreck or two. Duval Steet Key West

A Bar on Duval Street
There is always a ton of foot traffic, people on bikes and people who are very new to riding scooters so it would suggested to park your car asap and see the street on foot. The north end of Duval is right near where the cruise ships docks and so that end is over run with gift and tee-shirt shops. The middle and Southern End of duval is nice and more laid back, also more gay. There is a pier and a beach at the south end of Duval which has nice views of the sunset.
The main activities on Duval would be shopping, eating and of course drinking. There are restaurants and shops for a wide range of budgets. Staying directly or right near Duval tends to be more expensive then other areas of the island, of course.
